Special exhibition

Dragon’s Blood & Bold Heroes

27 June – 22 September 2019

Most dragons today are cute. Their names are Puff, Toothless or Coconut and they wouldn’t hurt a fly. Not so their ancestors, all scary creatures without exception and the embodiment of evil. Few people were bold enough to resist and conquer them. Among them were the demigod Hercules of antiquity, the Archangel Michael, Saint Margaret and Siegfried the Dragon-slayer. It is to these saints and heroes that this exhibition is dedicated. It shows important art works – prints, painting, sculptures and works of art – from the fifteenth century to the present day.

Includes a secondary programme of events. A Catalogue will be available.
